Mission & Vision

Mission

To end homelessness in Calgary.

Vision

By January 29, 2018, an individual or family will stay in an emergency shelter or sleep outside for no longer than one week before moving into a safe, decent, affordable home with the support needed to sustain it.

Values

The late Mr. Arthur R. Smith founded the CHF on these values:

  • To preserve the dignity of an individual to have a place to call home, a place that is adequate, accessible, safe and affordable.
  • To foster respect for people experiencing homelessness.
  • To work in collaboration within the Calgary community.
  • To advocate social responsibility to address homelessness issues.
