Research
One of the key strategies outlined in Calgary's 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness is to: "Expand, co-ordinate and deepen research capabilities to gain a detailed understanding of homelessness in Calgary and evalutate performane of the 10 Year Plan."
The CHF is also in the process of implementing a Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) throughout the community of care. Learn more about HMIS here.
Research Opportunity
The Alberta Homelessness Research Consortium (AHRC) is requesting applications from researchers to undertake a comprehensive environmental scan of homelessness-related research capacities in Alberta.
The final report will be used as a basis to expand the AHRC membership within communities, exchange knowledge between organizations and regions throughout Alberta, and establish a relevant and purposeful research agenda.
Proposals are due by May 6, 2010 and should be submitted to the Alberta Secretariat for Action on Homelessness. Click here to read the full RFP.
