Ed's House Warming Party

Ed's House Warming Party takes place Wednesday, October 20 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Metropolitan Centre. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased here.

Help Build a Playground!

With the help of KaBOOM! and the Home Depot Canada Foundation, we are building a playground for children of the foundation-owned family housing complex in Acadia. After a successful design day where children drew their dream playgrounds, we will be ready to build on Thursday, September 16.

The Elvis Gospel Tribute starring Elvis' Imperials

Friday, September 10, 7 p.m,  Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium    

$5 from every ticket sold will benefit the Calgary Homeless Foundation! 

Presented by Good News Radio and featuring Bruce Sheasby, AKA "Rev. Elvis."  Tickets are available for $29 and $39 (plus fees) and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

Project Homeless Connect (PHC)

The next PHC event will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010, Suncor Energy Centre

PHC is a one-day event where homeless or near-homeless individuals and families are provided with services and supplies in one location. Services provided include medical treatment, mental health services, income support, employment counselling, identification documents, access to housing, and more. Participants can also receive clothing, comfort kit items, haircuts and a nutritious lunch.

2010 Community Summit

The CHF hosted a Community Summit on March 3, 2010 to get input into the next steps in Calgary’s 10 Year Plan. Community members also heard about local results to date and ‘best practices’ from other regions of the world.
