Calgary Homeless Foundation is grateful the initiative you’ve taken to launch a community-led fundraising event to support our work. Below are a few points on how we can assist you and help make your event a success.
What We Can Do For You!
- Letter of Endorsement: Provide a letter that authenticates your event that can be shared with donors, sponsors, and other event contributors.
- Information about Calgary Homeless Foundation: Give you promotional material that contains information about us.
- Speak at your event: If appropriate, a staff member of Calgary Homeless Foundation can attend your event and speak.
- Gift Receipting: Depending on the nature of event, we will discuss the appropriate way to issue either a tax receipt or a business receipt for the funds resulting from the event (according to CRA guidelines).
- Share your Success! Please send photos of the event and a write-up of the success of the event. We may be able to highlight your event and its success on our external communication channels.
What Is Your Responsibility?
- It is your responsibility to plan, implement, and execute your event. This is your project, and we are happy to help where we can!
- All event expenses incurred are the responsibility of the individual or group hosting the event. If the event’s fundraising efforts do not cover all the expenses, the amount remaining is the responsibility of the volunteer.
